Myers Emergency & Power Systems’ EnerShed Battery Energy Storage System Achieves UL 1741 Recognition, Enabling Q3 Commercial Shipments

August 20, 2026

Milestone clears path for launch of a BABA- and FEOC-compliant BESS as Myers E&PS prepares to fulfill strong customer demand from its U.S. manufacturing operations.

BETHLEHEM, P.A., August 20, 2026 — Myers Emergency & Power Systems (“Myers E&PS”), a U.S.-based leader in intelligent critical power solutions, today announced that its EnerShed™ Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has successfully achieved UL 1741 Grid Support Utility Interactive Bi-directional Inverter Recognition. The milestone advances the product toward its commercial launch and initial shipments in the third quarter of 2026.

The recognition validates EnerShed’s capabilities for utility, commercial, and industrial applications as customers increasingly seek reliable, domestically manufactured energy storage solutions that support grid modernization, resilience, and energy independence.

EnerShed is also Build America, Buy America (BABA) and Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) compliant, often exceeding domestic content requirements, while its U.S.-based production helps customers avoid the extended lead times often associated with overseas supply chains.

“Achieving UL 1741 recognition is a major milestone that positions us to bring EnerShed to market at scale,” said Troy Renken, Chief Technology Officer of Myers E&PS. “Strong customer interest throughout the development and submission process has created a substantial backlog of opportunities ready to move forward. With shipments beginning in the third quarter and our U.S. manufacturing capabilities already in place, we are prepared to fulfill demand quickly and provide customers with a domestically produced, grid-supportive energy storage solution they can deploy with confidence.”

Backed by more than 60 years of power systems expertise from Myers E&PS, EnerShed is a modular, American-made BESS platform designed to maximize reliability, safety, and operational flexibility. Its unique architecture provides built-in redundancy and scalable power and energy capacity. An innovative air-cooled design delivers high energy density in a compact footprint without the complexity of liquid cooling or HVAC systems.

Built to meet the latest industry safety standards, including large-scale fire testing protocols, EnerShed is shipped fully assembled and factory-tested to accelerate deployment. The system supports a wide range of applications, including energy resilience, demand management, load shifting, EV charging, and other energy optimization needs.

The UL 1741 recognition comes at a time of accelerating demand for domestic energy infrastructure investments and reinforces Myers Emergency & Power Systems’ commitment to delivering innovative, American-made solutions that help customers meet both operational and regulatory requirements.
